SFP28 Transceivers

SFP28 Transceivers support data rate of 10Gbps and 25Gbps. Produced according to the Multi-Source Agreement (SFF-8431, SFF-8432 and SFF-8472 specifications) and compliant with electric and electromagnetic standards.

SFP28 is a transceiver consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, used to switch between the fiber optic interface to electrical and vice versa. It connects the main board of a switch, router, HBA card or media converter to an optical or copper cable.

Parameters

Transceivers operate on multimode and single-mode fiber optic cables and transmit data over a either pair of optical fibers (duplex) or a single optical fiber (simplex).

They support data rate of up to 25,78Gb/s

Types of SFP28 modules

The most popular type of SFP28 transceivers is LR with maximum distance of 10km, designed for two single-mode fibers, DFB 1310nm-type laser, of data rate speed of 10Gbs or 25Gbs.
