Optical Multiplexer CWDM 8+1 channel SC/APC ABS Box

The CWDM multiplexer (MUX) is a passive optical device (requiring no power) used in WDM networks. It provides the ability to flexibly increase the capacity of an existing fiber infrastructure by allowing multiple channels (wavelengths) to be transmitted over the same fiber. CWDM MUX devices are available in 8-channel and 18-channel configurations. LightOpics modules use wavelengths that fall within the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM mesh standard of 1470 nm to 1610 nm (8 channels) and 1270 nm to 1610 nm (18 channels) with 20 nm spacing. The multiplexers come in 1U 19" rack, ABS BoX and LGX designs. They are primarily used for both 1GbE and 10GbE Ethernet networks.
