The DCN S4600-12X-SI is a managed L2+ switch in a compact, passively cooled chassis 266 mm wide. It combines 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports with 4 SFP+ 1/10G ports, offering a 96 Gbps switching fabric and 71.4 Mpps forwarding capacity. A 16,000-entry MAC address table, 4K VLAN support and VSF stacking make it ideal for access aggregation and building the distribution layer. 10G performance for aggregation and the network core

Four SFP+ 1/10G ports are the foundation of this switch. They let you set up fast uplinks to the network core or link several access switches in a star topology with no bottlenecks. The 96 Gbps switching fabric delivers full non-blocking throughput for all 12 ports at once, and 71.4 Mpps forwarding handles even small frames at full load. Into each SFP+ port you insert a 10G optical module (SR/LR) or a DAC cable, as well as 1G optical modules when linking with older hardware. The 12 Mbit packet buffer and jumbo frame support up to 10 kB minimise losses when transferring large files and iSCSI/NAS traffic.
