SINGLE-MODE PIGTAILS

Single-mode fiber optic pigtails. Single mode fiber is an optical fiber designed to carry only a single light mode of different frequencies. Thanks to this solution, the phenomenon of modal dispersion is eliminated, so that single-mode fibers, unlike multimode fibers, have a greater bandwidth and allow data transmission over long distances.

TYPES OF PIGTAILS

The basic types of pigtails are differentiated by:

  • the type of optical fiber (single-mode type G.657.A1, single-mode type G.652.D)
  • type of fiber optic connector (e.g. LC/UPC, SC/APC)
  • length, the most popular and convenient length is 1m and 2m.
