1. Do I need to create an account to place an order?
There is no need for that. You don't need to open an account to make purchases. All you need to do is to provide us with your e-mail address, delivery address, invoice details and contact phone number for the courier, so that we can arrange the delivery of your order. However, if you open an account you will gain access to special discounts, order history and favorite products list, as well as be able to track the status of your order.
2. Will I receive an invoice upon purchase?
An invoice is issued for each order, which is sent to you via e-mail.
1. Is the invoice included in the package?
A document confirming the purchase with your data is included in the package, but the invoice is sent to you via e-mail.
If you wish for such document not to be included, please let us know in the "note" section.
2. Can I pay with traditional bank transfer?
Yes, of course. Create an order via our webpage and choose the "PAY BY BANK TRANSFER" payment method.
On your email, you will receive the preliminary bill (the proforma invoice), with necessery payment data included. If you are logged in, you can also download it from the client panel.
The order will be sent to you after the finalization of the payment. If you need fast delivery, you can send us a confirmation of purchase via e-mail.
1. How long does it take to process an order?
If the purchased goods are available in stock, we ship them within 48h, however most orders placed before 1pm are shipped on the same day. The delivery time may vary depending on your region.
If you ordered something that is not readily available in our stock, the shipping time is determined by delivery of our supplier and may take around 4 or 5 weeks. You can track the delivery of your order in the client panel or message us at sales@fibermarkt.com
2. Can I pick up the delivery straight from the warehouse?
Unfortunately, it is not possible. We deliver your orders only to the address given in the shipment info. But do not worry: each package is shipped via trusted courier service that ensures the safety of your package.
3. How can I return the package?
Each return should be sent to:
NOHO LOGISTIC PARK Fibermarkt Sp. z o.o., ul. Christo Botewa 6 - Hala H1, 30-798 Kraków
4. What if some of the things I ordered are out of stock?
If your order is not compeletly available in stock, you have two options:
- wait until the order is compeleted (you pay for shipment once, and get one invoice)
- have the goods sent to you in two parts (double shipment price and two seperate invoices; note that double shipment is included in the first of the invoices)
If neither of these options are convenient to you, you can ask to have the unavailable products to be removed from your order.
1. What is meant by "compatibility of a transceiver"?
Compatibility of the transceiver is the initial configuration/coding of the transceiver uploaded by experts in our lab. It ensures that a given module is compatible with one of the vendors (e.g. Cisco, Juniper, HP...) and can be installed in your device.
2. Which compatibility should I choose?
Before adding the optical transceiver to your shopping basket, please choose one of the given compatibilities, i.e. the name of the vendor of the device you plan to install the optical module in. If the name of the vendor of your choice is not on the list, choose the option "Others" and then specify the name of the vendor in the note. Sometimes it is also necessery to specify the model of your device. Follow the instructions shown on each product card. If you have any doubts, call us or write us a message.
3. Can I use an SFP module in an SFP+ slot?
It depends on the type of device you insert the module in. SFP and SFP+ modules have identical measurements and connectors, but differ in terms of how they communicate with the port. Some devices support both form factors on the same port, but some do not. For more information, check the data sheet of your device.
4. Can I use a DAC cable to connect devices coming from different vendors?
Yes, you can. Each connector of the DAC cable is coded separately. Before adding the product to the basket, you can choose a different coding option for the A and B connectors.
5. What is the difference between the QSFP+, QSFP28 and CFP modules?
QSFP+ QSFP28 and CFP modules differ in, among others, transmission speed, dimensions, power consumption and, of course, internal components.
QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable Plus) is a type of optical module built according to the corresponding MSA standard (SFF-8436), with a transmission speed of 40 Gbit/s obtained by aggregating four 10 Gbit/s channels. This type of module has dimensions of 18x52 (socket depth) x 8.5 mm and can consume up to 3.5 W of power. On the optical side, it can be equipped with an LC or MPO connector.
QSFP28 (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable 28) modules are identical in size to QSFP and QSFP+ modules, but are based on an architecture of four transmission channels operating at 25 Gbis/s, resulting in a total data rate of 100 Gbit/s. On the optical side, it can be equipped with LC or MPO connectors.
CFP (C Form-Factor Pluggable) is a type of optical module built according to the corresponding MSA standard, developed to support high bandwidths up to 100 Gbit/s. This type of module has larger dimensions of 82x145x14 mm and can consume up to 18W of power. On the optical side, it can be equipped with an LC or MPO connector.
6. Will I lose warranty for my device if I use "unoriginal" optical modules?
Absolutely not! If a network device, e.g., a switch, router, converter, is damaged or defective, the vendor is obliged to fulfill the warranty in accordance with applicable consumer laws, which prohibit the manufacturer from denying warranty support only for the use of unapproved equipment, unless it can be verified that the damage is caused by the optical module. Some network equipment vendors, in an attempt to protect revenue from their own optical modules (transceivers), refuse warranty support if the serial numbers of the modules do not match their records (so-called "unoriginal" modules). Fortunately, this attitude is slowly beginning to change, and the market is becoming more open to alternative sources of modules. The optical modules we offer, manufactured by LightOptics, are trustworthy, proven quality modules with high compatibility with network devices from other vendors.
7. How to check the signal power of the optical module?
There are several ways to check the optical power of the signal sent by the module, below we describe the three most popular.
1. Use the built in DDM(DOM)
If the device you are using supports the Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), also known as Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), you can easily read required info from the operating system level after inserting the right input.
2. Use a special optical power meter
This solution works with optical modules supporting one wavelength.
3. Use a spectrum analizer
For CWDM/DWDM modules, we can use a spectrum analyzer to measure the transmitter power.
8. MODULES DEDICATED FOR HP DEVICES- when should I use them?
For HP:J9150A and J9150D choose LO-HPSP-10G-SR
For HP:J9151D and J9151A choose LO-HPSP-10G-LR
For the rest of 10G HP SFP+, you can choose the remaining models from the SFP+ 10G category.
For 1G modules choose standard SFP modules, simply select HP compatibility before adding the product to the basket.
9. Colors on the handles of optical modules- what do they mean?
The colors of the holders of optical modules commonly known as inserts are not covered by any standard, so manufacturers use housings with different holder colors. The most common holder colors for LightOptrics' basic insertion types are:
SFP 1G SX (LO-SF-1G-SX) - black.
SFP 1G LX (LO-SF-1G-LX) - blue
SFP 1G EX (LO-SF-1G-EX) - maroon (red)
SFP 1G ZX (LO-SF-1G-ZX) - green
SFP 1G BIDI/WDM TX 1310 nm (LO-SF-1G-3S5-20L) - blue
SFP 1G BIDI/WDM TX 1550 nm (LO-SF-1G-5S3-20L) - green (yellow, purple)
SFP+ 10G SR (LO-SP-10G-SR) - black
SFP+ 10G LR (LO-SP-10G-LR) - blue
SFP+ 10G ER (LO-SP-10G-ER) - maroon
SFP+ 10G ZR (LO-SP-10G-ZR) - white
SFP+ 10G BIDI/WDM TX 1270 nm (LO-SP-10G-2S3-20) - gray
SFP+ 10G BIDI/WDM TX 1330 nm (LO-SP-10G-3S2-20) - blue (mint)
