MAKE YOUR NETWORK MORE EFFICIENT

With MUX and DEMUX devices from LightOptics, you can transmit up to 18 channels over a single optical fiber, and thanks to the OADM devices you can additionally add or drop wavelengths (channels) from the transmission. Thanks to the CWDM technology, it is possible to use a single optical fiber instead of many independent ones.

TRANSMIT UP TO 18 CWDM CHANNELS

LightOptics CWDM solution supports transmission and reception of up to 18 channels of wavelength ranging from 1270nm to 1610nm. Using a fiber optic cable, the Multiplexer (MUX) and the Demultiplexer (DEMUX) are connected on the ends of the line. The MUX module, thanks to the special design of its filter cascade, can successfully merge separate bands of fiberoptic wavelengths into one beam transmitted over to the other side of the link. The DEMUX module reverses the process, separates each wavelength into a different port.

OADM – ADD AND DROP TRANSMISSIONS ANYWHERE ON THE LINK

Thanks to additional Optical Add Drop Multiplexer (OADM) modules, you can terminate one or more transmissions anywhere on the line. The dropped transmissions can be processed and added back to the main line for further transmission.

EXTEND THE CAPACITY OF YOUR TRANSMISSION

The CWDM system is a perfect alternative to buying or leasing a great amount of optical fibers. This solution supports 1GbE, 10GbE and FC 8/16G transmissions. The CWDM MUX/DEMUX and OADM devices work passively, meaning they don’t require any power, making them immune to malfunctions of the network.
