Optical circulator
Broadband 3-port LightOptics circulator suitable for bi-directional signal transmission over one fiber. Operating range: 1310 ± 30 nm.
Optical circulators work in O-band (II transmission window) or C-band (III transmission window). They operate based on the orthogonal polarization of bi-directional light, which makes it possible to transmit in two directions over the same wavelenght.
Easy installation, low cost
With a circulator it is possible to create a bi-directional transmission with the use of a single wavelenght, thanks to high directional insulation and low insertion loss. It is a passive device, which doesn't require a power source.

About LightOptics LO-CIR-010-SCA-1310-NL optical circulator:
- broadband operation in the 1310 ± 30 nm wavelenght range
- passive device, does not require a power source, not prone to power outages
- low insertion loss, under 1,2dB- no need for additional signal amplification
- can be used to migrate to higher bit rates, e.g. 40Gbps, with the use of just one single mode fiber
- with the use of QSFP+ 40 Gbps LR4 transceiver, you can launch a link with a maximum distance of around 6km, over a single fiber
- with the use of QSFP+ 40 Gbps ER4 transceiver, you can launch a link with a maximum distance of around 42km, over a single fiber
