CWDM (DEMUX) demultiplexer is a passive optical device (it does not require a power source), used in WDM networks. Its main purpose is increasing the capacity of already-existing fiber optic infrastructure by allowing transmission over many channels (wavelengths) within a single optical fiber.
CWDM Demux devices are available in two configurations: 8-channel and 18-channel. LightOptics modules support wavelenghts existing within the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM grid standard, between 1470nm and 1610nm (8-channels) or between 1270nm and 1610nm (18-channels) with a 20nm spacing.
Available in rack 1U 19", ABS BOX and LGX chassis mount standards.
Suitable for 1GbE and 10GbE Ethernet networks.
