The LightOptics LO-SF-1G-5S3-03L 1000Base-BX SFP optical module is a BiDi/WDM transceiver that enables data transmission at 1.25 Gbps over distances of up to 3 km using single-mode optical fiber. It uses an LC/UPC connector and operates at TX 1550 nm/RX 1310 nm wavelengths. Compliant with the SFP MSA standard, it offers built-in DDM diagnostics. Designed to work in tandem with the LO-SF-1G-3S5-03L transceiver.
Prior to each shipment, the modules are individually coded to ensure full compatibility with network devices from the selected manufacturer.

The SFP 1G BX 3 km transceiver
The 1000Base-BX SFP module is designed for data transmission using a single single-mode (SM) fiber. It transmits data at speeds of up to 1.25 Gbps, over distances of up to 3 km. It operates at TX 1550 nm/ RX 1310 nm wavelength and has LC/UPC duplex optical connector type. Compliant with SFP MSA standard.
We program the transceivers before shipment to work with any manufacturer of switch, converter, server card. If you did not find the manufacturer's name in the list, select "Other" option at the end of the list.
Universal module, working reliably at distances up to 3 km, but also on very short, 1-meter lines. You don't have to worry about the insertion laser being damaged, thanks to the appropriately designed receiving diode, which is resistant even to long-distance lasers.
Example application of SFP BiDi 1000BASE-BX
BiDi transceivers always work in a pair, where the wavelengths are matched crosswise, so that the wavelength of the TX transmitter on one side corresponds to the RX receiver of the module on the other side, analogous to the picture above. The matching transceiver for LO-SF-1G-5S3-03L is: LO-SF-1G-3S5-03L.
