OPTICAL ADD/DROP MULTIPLEXER (OADM) is a passive optical device (does not require powering), applied in WDM systems. Used to drop and add GPON transmission, without serious impact on other transmitted signals.
OADM devices are available in the unidirectional configuration (East Only) supporting one channel. OADM drops the entire GPON band upstream and downstream. LightOptics OADM solutions are available in the ABS Box and LGX chassis, applicable in Ethernet networks, both in 1GbE and 10GbE.
