MEDIA CONVERTER 1G RJ45 TO SFP

The LO-MC-1000DMS media converter can covert 10/100/1000Base-T copper signal to 1000M SFP optical signal. Supports multimode, single mode, WDM/BiDi, CWDM optics. Auto-negotiation on the RJ45 port: 10/100/1000Base-T, auto up-link (AUTO-MDI-MDI-X). Easy installation, no initial configuration of the device. An external power supply 100-250V AC (5V DC, 2A max) is included.

• Convert transmission medium from standard UTP twisted-pair to any optical fiber
• Transmission of bigger frames than standard 1528 bytes, e.g. Jumbo frames (9000 bytes)

If your network or parts of it are based on copper infrastructure, which limits your transmission range to 100m, you might consider transferring to optical fiber. The LO-MC-1000DMS media converter can be used to switch from RJ45 cabling to any optical fiber and extend your network up to 120km. In the SFP port you can insert modules of any kind: multimode, single mode, BiDi and CWDM and adjust the transmission according to your needs.

AFFORDABLE, EASY-TO-INSTALL MEDIA CONVERTER

• For your convenience, no pre-configuration is required, thanks to the Plug&Play system, the device can start operating right out of the box. The converter uses autonegotiation to automatically set the highest possible operating data rate on the port. 
• Auto-crossing, thanks to the auto uplink feature- you don’t need to use cross-cables.

RICH FUNCTIONALITY

DIP switches for full control over the device’s parameters. Store and Forward and Cut-through modes. Flow control, LFP, data rate selection on the FX optical port.

Jumbo frames

(ON) Cut-through – this mode will active frame transfer immediately after identification of target address. Allows bigger-than-standard Jumbo frames transmissions

(OFF) Store and Forward- this mode suspends frame transfer until the entire frame is arrived at the controller. Guarantees that the network will not be interfered with cut and corrupt frames

Link Fault Pass-through – shuts down the transmission on the optical port when the copper port is cut-off. Prevents unnecessary data transmission on the other side of the inactive link

Optical transmission rate- data rate selection; ON- 100Mbps; OFF- 1000Mbps

Flow control- verifies the size of the transmitted object to ensure it does not exceed the receptive capacity of the device. Prevents buffer overflowing

6 LED indicators – situated at the front panel of the media converter, allows for easy supervision of the operating conditions
