SFP+ 10G 0.5m DAC cable is an efficient and cost-effective solution for short distance data transmission. It is ideal for use in modern data centers and server rooms. This passive copper cable offers reliable data transfer at speeds of up to 10 Gbps over a distance of 0.5m. Our range of DAC 10G cables also includes lengths from 0.5m to 7m.
Direct Attach Copper (DAC) technology means direct connection without the need for optical signal conversion. In other words, DACs are equipped with two connectors in the SFP+ form factor and transmit data via electrical signal only over copper cables. This enables a significant reduction in installation costs, and also minimizes transmission delays compared to fiber optic solutions. In addition, the lack of need to use lasers for optical transmission translates into significant energy savings. Thus, it's a cheaper and more convenient alternative to fiber optics connections for shorter distances of several meters - just one DAC cable instead of two optical modules and fiber optic cable!
Compatibility with the SFP+ MSA standard ensures full integration with a wide range of network devices, enabling easy and fast deployment.
You can easily connect two different vendors because each end of the cable has a separate compatibility option. (For HP/Aruba devices, select a different model: LO-HPSP-CBL-01)
Our transceivers/DACs can be independently recoded with the LightBoard programmer.
