Using bidirectional transmission technology at different wavelengths (Transmitter Tx 1270nm, Receiver Rx 1330nm) on a single optical fiber, this module allows efficient use of fiber infrastructure. When implementing a connection on a single BiDi fiber, we do not use the same two transceivers, the wavelengths of the transceivers are matched crosswise, so that the wavelength of the TX transmitter of the transceiver on one side corresponds to the RX receiver of the module on the other side.
The transceivers operate with WDM (Bi-Di) technology to provide bidirectional 8G transmission on a single fiber of 9/125μm single-mode fiber, use light of two different wavelengths, i.e. 1270 nm and 1330 nm.
