WHICH MEDIA CONVERTER SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

GIGABIT RJ45 to SFP CONVERTER - model LO-MC-1000DMS

By far the most popular converter model is the gigabit media converter with built-in free SFP slot, which converts electrical signal to optical. It is a reliable device at a great price, with many applications in network infrastructure.

The RJ45 to fiber optic converter has built-in micro switches (DIP switches) that enable control over basic functionality of the device. We have control over the choice of transmission between Store and Forward and Cut-Through, in addition we have control over the Flow Control function, LFP and the ability to select the transmission speed on the FX (optical) port.

Application:

  • changing the transmission medium from copper to fiber (RJ45 to SFP)
  • extending network range

MEDIA POE CONVERTER model LO-MC-1000POE

Unmanaged gibabit PoE media converter designed to convert optical/electronic Ethernet signals, between 10/100/1000M copper interface and 1000M fiber interface. Support for the PoE/PoE+ standard allows data and power to be transmitted over a single cable over long distances. Monitor operating conditions with 6 LED indicators.

Application:

  • changing the transmission medium from copper to fiber (RJ45 to SFP),
  • extending network range,
  • powering a plugged-in device such as an IP camera, telephone, PoS Terminals, WiFi Acces Point and other devices with POE support.

UNMANAGED FIBER CONVERTER model LO-MC-1000C2S

Unmanaged gibabit media converter equipped with two SFP slots that allow flexible conversion of fiber optics between wavelengths in single mode, multi-mode, or xWDM. It is perfect for all kinds of opto-digital signals, such as Ethernet signals, ATM signals, SDH signals, control signals, etc.

Application:

  • network range extension,
  • transition from single-fiber to dual-fiber transmission,
  • transition from multimode to single-mode fiber,
  • CWDM transponder.
