SFP+ transceivers support multimode and single-mode optical fibers.
TYPES OF SFP+ TRANSCEIVERS
Duplex-type transmission. The signal is sent and received over the same wavelength, but within two separate fibers, which prevents signal interferences. These transceivers operate on wavelengths of 850nm/ 1310nm /1550nm.
SFP+ SR – operates on 850nm wavelenght, with maximum distance of 300m, dedicated for multimode fibers.
SFP+ LR- operates on 130nm wavelenght, with maximum distance of 10km, dedicated for multimode fibers.
